What you ship
Same mechanic. Your domain. Your money.
Live ranked board
Highest bid sits at #1 and everything re-sorts around it. New spots start at whatever floor you set.
Outbid and raise
The same URL or @handle raises its own listing instead of appearing twice. Paying under #1 still lands a rank.
Checkout on every bid
Dodo Payments as merchant of record, so sales tax is not your problem. Money hits your account — you keep all of it.
Activity and clicks
Latest bids, a trending row, per-listing click counts. The board looks alive on day one.
Upvotes and ad slots
Unlimited-click upvotes, and sponsored slots on a price ladder that climbs 50% per sale.
Honest traffic counts
Live and 24-hour visitors measured server-side. No cookie, no third-party script, nothing padded.
One-minute launch
Clock starts at checkout.
Pay
Checkout. The download link lands on the next screen.
Unzip + install
npm install. Next.js, Tailwind, Postgres — nothing exotic.
Drop in keys
Your Dodo key and a Postgres URL. npm run check confirms both.
Open bids
Deploy to Vercel. The first listing is already a sale.
The hard parts are already done
Payments that actually settle
Dodo Payments as merchant of record — it handles sales tax. Signature-verified webhook, and idempotency that survives a redelivered event. One $1 product covers every price you will ever charge.
A database that shares nicely
Everything lives in its own Postgres namespace, so it can sit inside a database another project already uses without colliding. It self-migrates on first run.
Traffic numbers you can defend
Live and 24-hour visitor counts measured server-side from salted, daily-rotating hashes. No cookie, no third-party script, nothing padded.
The revenue features included
Unlimited-click upvotes and sponsored slots on a compounding price ladder — the parts most clones stop short of.
The failures already named
Four things break this build. All four are handled and documented, including the missing setting that makes a serverless deploy look like three unrelated bugs at once.
Source, not a screenshot
Both archives come straight out of git and are typechecked before packaging. What you download is what ran.
Questions
What exactly do I get?
A zip of the Next.js source — the leaderboard, the bidding, the payment plumbing, the visitor counting. Taken straight out of git rather than assembled by hand, and typechecked before it is packaged.
How long does setup really take?
npm install and npm run dev gets it on screen in about a minute. Taking real money needs a Dodo key and a Postgres URL — call it fifteen minutes if you have neither yet.
Do I have to use Dodo Payments?
It ships wired to Dodo because it is a merchant of record, so sales tax is not your problem. The payment layer is one small module if you want to swap it.
What does it cost to run?
A Postgres database and a Next.js host. It fits inside the free tier of most of them until you have real traffic.
Can I resell it?
Build and run as many of your own boards as you like, and keep everything they earn. Reselling the source itself is the one thing that is not included.
Is there a refund?
It is a download, so no — which is exactly why every tier lists what it does and does not contain before you buy.
